For almost four years, I ran a membership inside Case Study Club.
It was all about careers and job hunting, and everything in between: portfolios, resumes, interviews, strategy, tactics. You name it. Our members landed jobs at Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta, and agencies and studios all over the world.
The single biggest problem for almost every member was digging up old projects for their portfolio, or writing impact statements for their resume.
Some went from pure memory (try remembering what you did on this day two years ago.) Others had a folder system or a Notion template they'd built themselves. A few web apps have even tried to solve it too.
We all know we should keep a work journal. Not just for portfolios and resumes, but for 1:1s, salary negotiations and performance reviews.
The problem is that you have to stop and think. When something happens, you have to take a screenshot, find the right folder and drop it in, with no context. Or log in to a website and save it there. It just doesn't work.
And if no one reminds me or holds me accountable, I won't do it.
In my consultancy, I send a short report with every monthly invoice that sums up what I achieved, so my client knows what they're paying for. The invoice is my cue. And it works!
So I built Caseful, a native Mac app that does the remembering for you.
Because it's native, it shows up where you actually do the work and is naturally part of your current workflow. And everything stays on your Mac too: no account, no server. Your AI apps only reads what you ask, and entries you mark confidential is never shared.
Caseful is now in private beta, and it's free to join. Sign up below and you'll get a download link by email.
I'd love for you to try it.
Best,
Jan Haaland
