About Case Study Club

This site started as a side project back in 2015. Collecting only the latest and greatest case studies about digital product design.

Watching how others think and applying the same process to your thinking is a fantastic learning experience. Writing case studies is also an excellent opportunity to become more aware of your process.

The idea for Case Study Club came from browsing Designer News for great examples of design case studies. I noticed a pattern. Some variant of this question was continually emerging: "What are some good examples of design case studies?".

People would list their favorite ones, but once the posts had finished trending it was gone. I saved every single one I could find and eventually ended up with a pretty solid collection.

That's when it hit me. Why not share it with the community? I did precisely that, and people seem to like it. A lot.

Case Study Club has over 4000 members from companies like Google, Spotify, Adobe, Shopify and IBM just to name a few. The numbers are growing each day, and I'm grateful for all the support!

The Face Behind Case Study Club

Hi, my name is Jan. I started my career making my first fan-site for The Clash back in 1996. It was amazing, and I immediately knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

No, I don't mean making fan-sites for cool rock bands. The feeling of making something others could interact with blew me away. That was it. I'd found my true calling!

Since then I've gone on to work with some of the most significant tech companies in Norway, as well as startups. I'm a partner in a design studio called Folk where we focus on designing great user experiences.

My work has been featured on sites like Forbes, The Next Web, LifeHacker JP and Product Hunt.

I'm a proud dad of two and cannot wait to revisit my early tech days. Making things will always be a passion of mine, whether it be with lego or another tech project.

Feel free to connect on Twitter or email. I'd love to chat.

Thanks for reading!

All the best,
Jan from Case Study Club
